All Rose Petal Betty soaps are made in small batches using the cold process method, which best preserves the beneficial qualities of the ingredients used. After mixing and pouring the soap into molds, I leave them wrapped in blankets for 24 hours while saponification occurs. After the soap sets, I cut the bars by hand (no two are ever quite alike) and leave them to cure for 4 to 6 weeks.

Many people never again use commercially made bars once they try a bar of wholesome, handmade soap. It really is a different, skin conditioning experience.

Just compare the ingredients of a commercial bar to the ingredients of a Rose Petal Betty Bar. Our soaps are made with 100% vegetable oils (no animal fats). Each bar contains pure olive oil that is blended with coconut oil, palm oil and cocoa butter to create the perfect balance of cleansing and skin conditioning.

Also contained in the bar is the natural by product glycerin. Glycerin is a wonderful humectant that draws moisture from the air to your skin.

I add a range of other ingredients (depending on the recipe), such as oatmeal, honey, fine fragrances, exfoliants, botanical oils and more. The result is a beautiful and wonderfully scented bar of 100% true soap, with no fillers, detergents or petroleum products.
